Conflict Bout To Rise

There’s a conflict about to rise/ so why won’t ya’ll recognize/ don’t close your eyes /

otherwise we gon’ get swiped away like flies/ all these people doin is givin you lies/

  we fallin into their trap /that’s what they want us to do/

lose our image and pay homage/ for what/ make us their garbage/

 spit on us like we their slaves / 

naw …we brave/ we just waitin for the right time to give it to ‘em (put ‘em in caves)/

 and when we snap/ they shall feel the damage/  

its gonna hurt em/ cuz when we celebrate we don’t clap/ 

we just pick up more straps / and become savages/

 put them in their places so they won’t even be worthy of showin their faces/ 

they’ll be lookin for traces just to make a case/ 

but they aint gonna find nothing but a lace/

 u see we gotta stop this arms race/ or else everyone’s gonna be left in a long, long chase…

we cant proceed with all these factions creatin conflict amongst each other/

so in my opinion, there’s only one answer to this conflict …live and die by the Holy Book (Quran) and yess…u got urself a remedy/ so listen to this melody…

hey…that’s why… we gotta bring about a change /

cryin in the Holy Land/ their loved ones bleedin from the pain/

stop the atrocities occurring against innocent lives/

 are you gonna let it reach the end of a nation’s demise/

Whats with all this fasaad/ makin the people go ill… mad/

is it right to make a helpless people sad/ listen, I’m just a young lad/

 look at ourselves before we start blamin others for our short comings/

 our actions causin all these mishappenins/ 

 in spite of all this…there’s only one thing I see that’ll turn the tide/

 people gotta put aside all the adversity...and just UNITE!!

Its all a Lie

This piece I wrote back when I was in Jeddah, KSA teaching and it all just came together, one day sitting in a classroom, while my students were on break...Starts off aggressive, but after the 1st verse, the flow goes into a mellow tone

Its been 4 yrs since the government started this drill/

 in the process tryna come up with a terrorist bill/ 

they done wrecked a country's people/ destroyed their well being/

 everythings gone opposite of how they wanted it/ and now the American public aint feelin it/

 cuz they see their soldiers dyin based on a lie/ uncle sam's workin hard to deny/ 

but it wont fly no more/ not with innocent lives/ being burned alive/ how much they try /

 but them Iraqi's still putting up a fight/ showin the world that their sufferin aint right/

 yet the people still won't bite/ that all this chaos is simply based on a lie/

I pray for the day when the Guided One arrives

The Khalifah (Caliph) of God who will bring there demise

To join him / a land of ice I will traverse

On my knees praying / for the best not the worst

The son of Miriam will descend in the East

To strengthen the Muslims and to slay the beast

The one eyed man who will lead many astray

For protection from him / we must pray… every day

The Verses of the Cave will be efficient for me

From the book of my Lord Who is sufficient for me

Bullets made in the USA

 killing our mothers and fathers/

 our children crying cuz their loved ones gone/

suffering so much (that) their only hope lies in takin their own lives/

Aint no excuse for shooting an 8 year old in the head/

He was just getting some milk and bread/

 to feed his family and now he’s dead./

  Why?  (What did he do to deserve this , was he worthless) Why…

{Wake up and see what these people are going through, then you’ll realize (that) they need you too/ help these people survive the oppression… see what they’re seein, feel what they feelin…go do something…learn the truth and commence the healin.}

Kids got nothing to live for, their mothers, their fathers, their brothers, their sisters, all gone/

what do you do when life reaches such a state /

not even a full plate/

to eat cuz everything is so beat / another bulldozer taking down a house

 in Nablus cuz its worthless / again another family homeless, while you stayin at the Ritz/ causin fits to innocent people who cant even drink water in peace , destroyin them till they cease to exist/ yet they resist (yet they resist)

We got another war to deal with now and people still sleepin when we all should be speakin /to stop all this terrorism talk…do I have to write it out for ya’ll in chalk/ everyday they try and promote sovereignty/ their soldiers unjustly takin lives/ makin it hard for the innocent to survive/  {that’s nothing but hypocrisy}/they sought out to build democracy, but that idea seems to have blown away,/ is it cuz of ignorance…what a calamity……./ it’s a shame (isn’t it?) such a sad reality and they still have the audacity to blame us for all their problems/ where is the equality…

Have they already forgotten about the massacre they caused at Sabra and Shatila .. that was more than 30 years ago…today those mother’s are still cryin in the Holy Land/ their loved ones bleedin from the pain/ their children dyin/ yet they still tryin/ to bury them in the sand/ c’mon people we gotta join hands /then we’ll be able to work as one/ towards progression to eliminate this aggresion….and stop this oppression (stop this opression)

All this gotta make us stronger, yet our Ummah getting softer and weaker/ we gotta have faith in one another/ God shown us signs from the East to the West, North to the South/ take them as lessons and understand the seriousness of the issues.../  went to Med school to become a doctor, not a proctor/ make a better future/ heal the wounds like a suture/ just make sure they never rupture/ its upto us to wake up and tell the whole world the truth/ always keep faith in the ONE ABOVE/ keep showin HIM love/ only the LORD can rid us of these problems forever / so let us come and pray together
